Tong Zhang is a U.S.based Chinese artist whose work explores the emotional weight of everyday moments. Through shaping a visual language that supports the evolution of consciousness, he creates spaces where memory and personal experience intersect with contemporary life, inviting reflection while embracing ambiguity.
His work has been exhibited internationally, including in Italy, the U.K., China, and across the U.S. Zhang is a recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant in 2017 and 2018 and a residency at The Sam and Adele Golden Foundation. He holds MFAs from Syracuse University and the China Academy of Art, and a BFA from Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts.
